Welcome Season The Tale Of The Howling Domain

Two humans made such a difference to the once populated areas of The Howling Domain. Two humans rode in on horses one smoggy afternoon with the winds blowing, they had come to explore, to see if the legends had been true, to see if this place really was populated by as many wolves as so many have said. They were not afraid, like they should have been. They settled into a campsite they made, their fire burning up the tree limbs they threw along with any brush that helped the fire grow. The fire scorched up into the sky, the wolves in that area abruptly looked to these creatures, cautiously and didn’t know what they were capable of. One small puppy, heir to the alpha moved away during the night from the pack towards the humans. The humans graciously opened their arms to the pup and fed him food resulting in the son of the alpha not wanting leave them. The mother, queen of The Howling Domain walked through the area, her voice calling for her pup. The two humans looked to her callings but paid not mind to her continuing to study the pup, his reactions and what he did. The mother entered the campsite, her eyes filled with blood as she entered and killed both of the humans and leaving their fire unattended. Soon enough the fire went out of control, spreading across the lands and killing many wolves and creatures that lived in that area. Even the queen and her son died in attempting to escape the fire’s clutches. Eventually the fire was tame and subsided, but it left corpses along the territory that eventually dissolved in the dirt never to be seen again. It is heard at times the calling of the mother wolf can be heard, she looks to be reunited with her pack, her small pup that she sacrificed her life for, by her side. The lands slowly started to recover and blossom, not many wolves decide to come back to these lands out of fear for the tales, out of fear the humans will come back again and that a repeat of the fire will happen. Resulting in this fact is many species of prey come here to seek refuge which is slowly starting to bring back the wolf numbers….this is The Howling Domain.

Lifting a paw, he carefully nudged her and smiled cheerfully.
Afterwards, the paw dropped back to the soil.
This was new territory for him, having to watch what he said and how he looked at someone, having to be careful not to make them uncomfortable or upset.
He knew that it was something he had to learn, but it was still strange....
Maybe in time it would be okay.

Karin looked up at him. Surprised with his kindness. But she gulped and her cheeks flushed as she had to turn away. Feeling him nudge her and she felt herself stuffened. But she wass glad that it was the only thing she did. And glad she didn't jump backwards nad run off. She looked up at him and meet his eyes for a split second before she lowered her eyes. Nodding her head and giving him a small smile. "Um.." she began. Trying to pick a conversation with Finn. She stopped suddenly and frowned. She had forgotten all about it, but at least she could now. "Um, did you say your name at all?" she asked.

Giving him a slight nervous smile. She would feel bad if he had said his name and she didn't hear or remember him saying it. "If you did and I didn't hear it or forgot I'm sorry, maybe I should have payed attention more!" she began in a frantic.

He felt her stiffen slightly at his nudge and frowned,but would remember not to do that again until she was more comfortable around him.
At her question, he tried to recall whether he had said his name or not.
Nope..nope, he hadn't.
"I'm sorry! I didn't. It's Finn."he replied sheepishly.
He was usually good about that sort of thing, and was embaressed that he had forgotten to mention it, especially since she had introduced herself.

"oh" she slightly let out in a slight sigh. "Well, hi...um, Finn." she muttered once again. Her voice lowering and she felt her cheeks turn slight pink. She gulped and brought her eyes to Finns once again. She gave him a small smile before she couldn't handle keeping the gazed. So it feel on a tree nearby. Making it seem like the tree overly interested her. 'yeah right' she thought. But what else could she do.

"So.." she began. Keeping ehr gaze on the tree. Like it still interested her. But t didn't even move so it was likely that it did. It was just a tree. Like all the rest. Of course, she liked treea but there not that good at looking at for a long period of time. "Is there...anyone else in your paclk?" she asked. Trying to start more of a conversation. She sat on her haunches and thought her body faced Finn her face and eyes were still on the tree. ((Gotta go and mow the backyard ^ ^))

It didn't do anything.
But anyway, his attention shifted back onto her as she spoke again.
Sighing lightly, he shook his head and replied.
"Not yet. It's only you and I for now."

Karin still stared at the tree. Almsot waiting. Expecting for something to happen. For all of a sudden the tree brought its roots from out of the ground and began to do a little dance. She inwardly giggled. That was a very pleasent thing and kept her from the thought that she was still rather nervous of either offending, or getting on his nerves, or anything else that was negative. But, she guessed she couldn't help but be one thing negative at a time. "Oh." she let it out to make it known that she didn't ignore what he had said. Just her...and him. And somehow she felt utterly alone. But she had somone, right? He counted, right? But she was just so nervous around him that she thought better of it.

She let out a sigh that much less let out the air she had breathed in, and showed that she was just becoming at least a little bored. Yes, and she even let the small thought that she was being tortured with being so nervous that she wouldn't be able to have a descent conversation with Finn. Her eyes wandered to the top of the tree. Where the leaves seemed to dance to the wind. Or silently screamiing for there lives as there only lifeline was a stem stuck to the branch.

Karin slowly lowered her body in a laying position. Her eyes slowly shifted from the tree to Finn, but she quickly regretted it and her eyes fell on the tree once again. 'I shall name this tree!' she thought. Letting a determined look come across her face. But really, without knowing her thoughts you would think she was annoyed. 'Okay, a name, something not too cutish. It seems rather aged and not that young. And, hm, is it a girl or a boy because that is needed...'

Having nothing more to say, Finn sprawled out comfortably on his stomach, muzzle resting on his paws. Ebony eyes flicked from Karin to her tree, then away without interest.
Whatever was going on in her mind, he couldn't imagine,but obviously there was nothing more to be said at the moment.
So, staring up at the sky, he watched a flock of birds fly overhead and then dissappear into the canopy.

'What am I going to do?' he thought with a quiet sigh. 'There is virtually no one else here, my only pack member is still skittish, and I have nothing to say!'
It was an unusual predicament for the social, happy-go-lucky Finn, but what could you do?
There wasn't much that could be done to fix it yet, but the minute something came to mind he'd take care of it.
If he could.

I like the name, but what would be really good for you is to go for a walk.' the tree seemed to have cooed those words through her brain. 'A walk? Yes, that would be nice thank you Kagome.' and with that Karin slowly got up. Her eyes had never left the tree. 'Which way should I go?' she asked the tree mentally. Kagome was silent for a moment before she spoke. 'Right.' and she could mentally picture seeing the tree shrug with its lowest branches.

Now standing and saying goodbye to Kagome she turned toward Finn. Since it seemed her brain was somewhere else she was having an easy time looking him in the eyes. "Kagome suggested I go for a walk. So I'm going for a walk. Thank you for keeping me company." she bowed to him and turned to her right. Trotting off into the trees. That she needed to remember to name later. And Karin kept in mind that she had just made allowed that she had just had a slight insane moment. 'Probably thinks I'm crazy now' and it was actually not that sad. A wide grin grew accros her maw and she continued forward.

Finn blinked in suprise as Karin stood suddenly and spoke.
'Kagome?Who is Kagome?'he wondered, staring at her in a wide-eyed confused way.
"Um..No problem...Enjoy your walk."he said slowly, once again trying to figure out what on earth she was talking about.
'Kagome...Certainly not the tree?'
